Our
Mission
For Knoxville's refugees and other internationals, the most vital tool they need to survive is ENGLISH.
Every step of their journey will require them to speak, hear and write a basic amount of English. This is the key for them to not only survive, but thrive.
Center for English was established as a non-profit resource center to teach English and life skills.
We aim to remove the two main obstacles preventing parents (especially Moms) from attending class:
• transportation to and from class
• childcare while they are in class
